OSLO (AFP) - A number of prints by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch earned record prices at an Oslo auction, with a version of his "Vampire" earning more than two million dollars, the auction house said Wednesday. Thirty-five out of 36 Munch works sold Tuesday evening were sold for a total of 55 million kroner (10 million dollars/6.7 million euros), Hans Rickard Elgheim of Grev Wedels Plass Auctions told AFP. It is forty years since I was involved in printmaking and my career as a graphic artist started in my school days when, a middle school student, I tried to do woodcut just for fun without anticipating that I would spend a lifetime to scale the heights of graphic art.
